It's the last episode of January 2022. The temperatures are plummeting. The snow is piling up. The football post-season is heating up. The gaming news stories are slowing down. And the Grinders have another episode violated by technical difficulties.
This week's news is low on quantity but not quality. Death's Gambit: Afterlife DLC is coming in February. The DLC is $7.99 but will be on sale for 35% during the release week. For the people looking to spend less money, the demo of Monark is available.
Everyone's favorite segment, the Stinkos, take on some hefty issues. Spotify chooses money over human life, as they continue to promote Joe Rogan and his dangerous conspiracy theories. People are losing their lives over those dangerous conspiracy theories. Racism, the climate, and COVID are killing countless numbers of people while Rogan and Hannity lie for financial profits.
The Free 4 All segment takes on another hefty issue, media bias. Instead of reporting the news, too many organizations add their own personal opinions. Some media members spread lies as facts and opinions and truth. Some add their own personal bias to what they report. Some of them spread dangerous conspiracy theories. Some of them frame their stories around a narrative they want their consumer to believe. Some of them frame their stories to meet a preconceived narrative. Most of them are "reporters" and "journalists" in name only.
The bottom line is that our media belongs to the billionaire class. Their interests are self-serving. It's not about reporting facts. It's about increasing their profits. Self-proclaimed journalists, like Tucker Carlson, are KNOWNINGLY spreading deadly lies for the purpose of increasing their wealth.
It's not all doom and gloom. We may be a tiny podcast but we do our best to tell the truth. We might be small-time but we know there are many more like us. We all need to use our critical thinking skills to help us see through all the bullshit and lies.
If you want us to know what you think or have any questions, please send a Tweet to @RPGrinders
Go watch Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead. I have no idea if the movie is good but the title sure is!

It's the jam-packed final episode of 2021! It's been a long, tough year but we won't let the dull our hopes for a better 2022. So we have to end this year right! We have to answer the some of the greatest questions known to humankind. Can we make it through the rest of the show or will the anticipation kill us all?!
Even though it's the end of the year, the news refuses to stop. 2022 is looking better with some release date announcements, like: The Pixel Master release of Final Fantasy 6 gets a February release date and some preorder goodies. Weird West gets delayed until March and an honest explanation from the developers. Also releasing in March, is the indy tactical RPG Telepath Tactics Liberated.
We can't have a final episode of RPGrinders without having everyone's favorite segments, Stinkos and Sweetos. Break's love/ hate relationship with Twitter encapsulates both. Frank takes the time to once again address the horrors of homelessness. Frank has been working hard to let the world know and will be releasing his docu-series by the end of the year, on his Mexican Long Hair channel.
Professional game reviewer Eric gives us his take on Keanu Reeves return to the Matrix and jrpg 13 Sentinels.
With all of the less important things out of the way, we finally answer one of humankind's oldest mysteries. The secret truth that has been hidden for generations. What is the Funniest Holiday Song of All Time!? Will the South Park creators be celebrating with us in Hell? Will Jack Black get any of the fucked-up shit he wants? Is the Kinks classic the champion, now and forever? Will the comedy genius of Garfunkle and Oates smoke the competition? Or is smoking the competition the job of the only remaining rapper, Afroman? Can guys dressed-up as mummies, singing about a naughty Santa, outlive them all? Or will the living legend, Weird Al, claim his thrown? These are all great songs and all very deserving but only one can win.
The Funniest song isn't the only important question that needs answer. We also reveal our favorite games of the year. If you want to find out, you will have to listen.
With so many good-looking games coming in 2022, it's hard not to be excited.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
PS. The secret to kidnapping Santa is the kind of bate you use.

In this episode of RPGrinders, the crew gets through a short news segment due to the year closing. But the reviews are packed this week, as Eric reviews Masters of the Universe and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Yes, there are two shows with similar names, but couldn't be more different. Frank reviews They Live's 4K Blu-ray release. The 80's never left. Afterward we have the usual stinkos, and some sweetos to take the edge off the former. Then afterward round two of the Best Funniest Christmas Song of All Time goes underway. Will Secret Santa be the dark horse? Only you can find out by live, and preferably live on Twitch and Youtube, Fridays at 7PM EST!

It took six hundred sixty-nine episodes but Break has finally realized his dreams of grandeur! He has ascended the throne and gained the power of Exile. With his new power, there must come responsibility. As such, Break was able to make it through an episode ending in 69, without making another lame sex joke or singing a lyric from a song by Joe.
Even though he isn't able to host. Frank is still ever present. Maybe it's just his excuse to not do the news? Maybe he didn't feel like talking about the upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur DLC? I guess he didn't want to talk about the release of the new action RPG Grim Dawn.
The Stinkos take an unusual turn, as Break is the only one with complaints. As usual, his complaints tend to be towards the government and gun violence. Frank's Sweeto put him in such a good mood, he was left with no complaints. When a wrongfully accused friend is exonerated, how can you not be excited?
With a new month comes a new tournament. This time the Grinders attempt to decide the All-Time Funniest Christmas Song! Since the rest of the show was shorter than usual, Frank has enough time to give us some musical samples. Songs about a snowman with a small penis, Santa Claus going on violent killing sprees, dogs flying planes, singing poop, cars that aren't street legal, rodents that sing, and many more Holiday songs of cheer!
Happy Holidays, Boils and Ghouls!
PS, I totally stole the title from a chatter.

The shoving, the cursing, the hand gestures! In this spooky themed episode of RPGrinders, the crew gets through a brisk news cycle, which is unfortunately beset with more delay announments. When the temperature starts to fall, the screams fill the air, and the blood runs cold we are left with a choice. Do you run, hide, fight, or put on your headphones and listen to a brand new episode of RPGrinders!?
With only two episodes left before Halloween, the most important question of our generation moves another round closer to an answer! What is the best Halloween candy? Only the RPGrinders can answer that question!
Will M & M's melt to the competition or in your mouth? Can a fruit flavored candy survive against the all mighty Hershey bar? Do you prefer peanut butter cups or do you like your peanuts in Mr.Goodbar? Is the novelty puff of fake candy cigarette smoke a better thing to find in your bag than a Tootsie Roll? Does everything thing I see look like a Tootsie Roll to me?
Halloween candy isn't the only thing on the menu. We can't enjoy the candy dessert until we have a fresh meal of news, reviews, stinkos, and sweetos.
The news is short this week but full of delays. The current gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher 3 won't be getting meaningful updates until 2022. Even the Switch is seeing delays, as the Advance Wars remake has been pushed back to the vague window called "Spring". Even the highly anticipated Elden Ring is being pushed back to Feb 2022.
If you are looking for some good anime, listen to Eric's reviews of Future Diary and Erased. Check out his reviews and let us know if you agree.
It wouldn't be an episode of RPGrinders if we didn't have some stinkos. As usual, the American government continues to be a source of Break's frustrations. Eric and Frank mourn the loss of two people within the entertainment industry.
As bad as things may get, we at least have sweetos to remind us that it isn't all bad. Unless you are the Lt Gov of Texas and you are forced to pay rewards to the people that have proven you wrong. Dan Patrick fucked around and found out.
Next week we will determine the Greatest Halloween Candy of All Time! We might even have some surprises instore.
No Candy Corn was harmed in the making of this podcast.
