RPGinders EP 639 - MXT's Prison of Love

The RPGrinders are back with another episode of video games news, movie reviews, terrible Stinkos, refreshing Sweetos, and the finale of our April tournament. This episode promises a lot of laughs but, be warned, there are some tears. 

The news is short and sweet. Summer release dates for Ys IX, the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Empire of Angels 4, and Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis will keep you out of heat.

If you don't feel like gaming, maybe you are in the mood for movies. Frank and Break disagree on the Netflix exclusive Thunder Force. They might disagree on the rating but no one can disagree with the power of Jason Bateman's mullet! Also, Eric reviews the latest Mortal Kombat movie. Can it overcome the incredibly low bar set by Annihilation?

These Stinkos come with an emotional warning. Everyone, please let Frank know that we love him. He can use our support through the trying times. Besides the sad news the Grinders also rail against the usual evils of the world: police, politicians, violence, and murder. 

This episode isn't all sad though, as the Grinders celebrate the verdict in the Chauvin murder trial. The police aren't above the law. We just hope this leads to real change.

Today is the day we finally answer the question that has confounded experts for a millennium: Who is the Greatest Video Game Icon of All Time? We are down to the great eight but there can be only one! Can an electrical mouse shock the competition? Will Mario put his size 12 Kuribo shoe on the throat of his enemies? Will the "last man standing" be a swashbuckling woman? Ryu rules the arcade, can he rule the tournament? Can Break rig the competition to give Mega Man the win? Is Sonic's speed good enough to win? Will the legendary Belmont clan stand triumphant? Or is Link the true legend?

RPGrinders EP 636 - The Mario Massacre of 2021

April is finally here. Spring has finally arrived and the RPGrinders are back for another crazy episode. This time the Grinders start a new tournament, review giant lizard movies, Catboys in paradise, not one but two Dear Break Man questions, and technical difficulties!

The technical difficulties start right away but they wont slow down the news! They wont slow the release of Elder Scrolls Online for the current generation. The difficulties wont stop the Oddworld Collection from releasing on May 27th. Even though it was once an April Fools Joke, Nekopara: Catboys Paradise wont be delayed when it releases later this year.

Eric gives a quick non-spoiler review of Godzilla vs Kong. Does the hairy ape have a chance against mean green or will he be forced to bow before the true king of all monsters? 

The start of a new month brings a new tournament. This time the Grinders will determine the Greatest Gaming Icon of All Time! Will it be one of the Mario brothers? Will Scorpion be able to finish the competition? Maybe a villain like Dr.Wily or Bowser might can finally win? Or maybe a woman like Peach or Samus will be triumphant?

RPGrinders EP 633 - Boner Tomahawk

This episode of RPGrinders features a release heavy news segment, food sex, time changes, broken political promises, the Sega Genesis tournament, Bone Tomahawk, and Geraldo Rivera! 

The news is packed with actual release dates! Some games are even out now, like the Bethesda catalog joining Xbox Game Pass. Games like Vaporum:Lockdown and Trails of Cold Steel IV will be releasing within the next couple of months. While the third DLC pack for DBZ:Kakarot and Alchemic Cutie drop this summer. 

Dear Break Man brings words of wisdom to this episode. Today Break saves the world by answering a question about mixing food and sex. 

Frank gives his review of Bone Tomahawk. What does Frank think of the horror/western starring the living legend Kurt Russell?

The Stinkos take an interesting turn as one of Break's gets a LIVE update and becomes a Sweeto! Unfortunately, the national time shift and the broken promise of a $2000 stimulus check do not make the same change.

And the poorly named but interesting looking tactical RPG "Project Triangle Strategy" has been announced for the Switch.

Dear BreakMan returns with 2 of the most important questions facing humanity at this time. The Grinders explain how to handle the death of a child's pet and they address the controversy around wearing "White Face".

This episode was one of the longest because of the most epic battle in the history of humanity! Sixteen SNES games are left but only one can be considered The Greatest Super Nintendo Game of All Time. Will the pastel levels of Super Mario World 2 with stand the firepower of UN Squadron? RPGinders EP 627 - What wouldn't you do for a Klondike Bar?

On this episode of RPGrinders, the Grinders answer the toughest questions of 2021! Only they have the guts to give the real answer to the age old question, "What would you do for a Klondike bar?" And they solve one of the worlds greatest mysteries, "What is the Greatest 80s Television Theme Song?"

As always, the Grinders start with the show with latest RPG and visual novel news. This episodes news includes: The first big patch for Cyberpunk 2077 has arrived but does it make the game worth playing? Biomutant has been given a May 25th release date and some pricey special editions. Elder Scrolls Online is receiving new DLC with the upcoming June release of Blackwood. And Shattered Tale of the Forgotten King is coming to steam on Feb 17th.

It isn't an episode of RPGrinders with out some reason to complain. The Stinkos give the Grinders a perfect chance to get things off their chests. As usual, the government plays heavily into their frustrations. Elected officials getting minor punishments for major crimes and how the "elite" play by different rules.

The Grinders wouldn't do Stinkos with out something happy to wash away the stank. The Sweetos make everything better and so does the fact that average people teamed up to exploit the same stock market flaws used by the "elite". Wall Street is not a true representation of the economy or the status of the American people. They are not happy to have the average person beat them at their own game. 

With all of that out of the way, the Grinders will finally answer histories greatest mystery! Did aliens visit ancient Egypt? Do Bigfoot and Nessy still hold their annual poker tournament? When a bear shits in the woods, does an angel get it's wings? Will God ever pay Frank for the bet they made during the Jurassic period? When Harmie signs a huge music contract will he immediately replace Break (Or will he wait a couple of days first)? Where does Eric store his Big Giant Robots to keep them dry from the rain? These are all good questions, but the biggest mystery in the history of humanity is: What is the Greatest 80s Television Theme song?!

With only four tunes left, who will win? Will a plan come together for Mr. T and the A-Team or will Michael Knight and KITT drive off into the sunset? Do you want to go where everybody knows your name or fly above it all in a badass helicopter?
