The weather is finally getting nicer. The sun is staying out longer. The flowers are blooming. And Frank pooped today. That's can only mean one thing, the RPGrinders are back for another episode of news, reviews, and tomfoolery! So stop, smell the lilacs, grab a beer, and join the RPGrinders as they celebrate spring their own way!
Speaking of enjoying the Spring, Gunvein & Skautfold Usurper will be out before the Summer solstice. We also learned that the hot Summer months don't make you sweat then maybe Norn9: Last Era will make you perspire. Once the weather cools and the leaves begin to fall, you can go inside and warm yourself with BioMutant or Mon-Yu.
The Spring nights can still be chilly, which gives you a great excuse to go inside and watch a tv show or movie. What could be a better Springtime excursion than a trip to the movie theater to watch The Guardian of the Galaxy save the galaxy one last time. Or you could stay home and enjoy the latest season of televisions greatest show, the Mandalorian. Mando, Grogu, Drax, and Groot, oh my!
The Springtime isn't known for giving one the blues but that doesn't mean there aren't reasons to complain. The United States Supreme Court has stooped to a level of corruption previously unimagined. Are there any non-corrupt judges? Judges aren't the only crooked people in authority, just ask the Greenwood Village Police. Not as bad as corruption, but getting sick when the weather is nice, SUUUUUCKS. Just ask Break. Not only does it suck but the way some graduating students are being treated is cruel! Punishing children because their parents can't afford to pay for something that should be FREE.
The Sweetoes are proof that Spring is in the air and the pollen is clouding their judgement. Frank can't help but celebrate the good news on the home front. Break can't help but gloat when he sees evil people being punished. Sometimes, there is justice in America. Even more rare than justice is the unexpected team-up of two polarizing politicians, AOC and Matt Gaetz.
Do you still need more proof that it is Spring, then here is proof positive. A brand-new tournament! This time the Grinders start the process of choosing the Greatest Fighting Game of All Time. Not to use a bad pun but the gloves are off! The Fighting Game Tourney has the Grinders looking for a brawl! If you thought they fought a lot in the last tourney, you ain't seen nothing yet!
This tournament well answer some of life's oldest questions. Is Street Fighter 2 a better fighting game than Mortal Kombat? Will Scorpion pull off the Flawless Victory then perform a Fatality on Ryu? Will Ryu and his Alpha pals be a match for the Bogard brothers and their bouncy friend? Is Evil Superman a match for a ruthless tyrant that has ruled with an iron fist for thousands of years? Can a fighting game starring the cast of Final Fantasy 7 survive the odds? Why is Mortal Kombat 4 even on this list? Will the Skullgirls teach the old games some new tricks? Is the Dead or Alive franchise nothing more than fan service or is it a solid fighting franchise? Don't stop to smell the roses, you might get KOed.
Join the Grinders next Friday as the dig deeper into the tournament, new reviews and news, Stinkos and Sweetos, and a flagrant boutique of humor and fun.
Wow. I hope that isn't as pretentious as it sounded in my head.

RPGrinders EP 738 - Getting Snaked
Friday May 05, 2023
Friday May 05, 2023
There are too many snakes on this plane! In this snake-riddled episode of RPGrinders, the crew goes over a nice chunk of news. A lot of ports, Battle Network Legacy Collection dominates, and Cygame branching out in NA and EU are the highlights. But afterward, Eric reviews Snakes on a Plane. As For Stinkos, there are plenty, but at least Break now has a Sweeto of all time, as hopefully, his computer woes are over. Then the next round for the best Fighting Game series of all time continues! A discussion about Nintendo having an unreasonable punishment for Gary Bowser is had as well. To find out which game/series makes it to the next round, be sure to listen. Especially when the show is live on Fridays on Youtube/Twitch at 7 PM EST!

RPGrinders EP 736 - Spite Fighter
Saturday Apr 15, 2023
Saturday Apr 15, 2023
The fight is on! This week's episode gets highly competitive. Arguing over Trans rights, disagreements about reviews, fighting with listeners, arguing with each other, even a fight to determine the greatest fighting game franchise of ALL TIME?! No participation trophies. We are fighting to win!
The fighting starts even before the news! The chatters and the Grinders disagree about the rights of the Trans community. It's a personal issue to Eric and an important issue to address.
The news is a little later than usual, but not as late as the games being delayed. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Endless Dungeon have both been kicked back but they haven't been canceled. By the middle of next month, the Free-to-Play version of Disgaea won't be able to punch its way out of a server shutdown. At least it's not all bad news, as the city of Detroit will soon get to enjoy the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert!
To win a fight it takes stamina, not unlike what it will take to watch everything the Grinders reviewed! Hours of Japanese cartoons about the human body, American cartoons about the horrors of puberty, the horrors of Infinity Pool, the horror of being dead and still stuck in high school, a surprisingly good Plane, and even the Caped Crusader.
As if the Grinders weren't ready for a fight, the Stinkos are here to add fuel to the fire. A country that is seemingly at war with itself and its government. States that have decided to rule instead of represent. Even some personal battles against bad apps and bad family members.
Just as the bloodlust comes to a boil, it's time to begin the process of determining the Greatest Fighting Game Franchise of All Time! Will Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li prevail over the Bogard brothers and their friends? Will Mortal Kombat dish it out or become the next Fatality? Can Dead or Alive's physical "attributes" be enough to defend itself against a Guilty Gear assault? Can the realism of the UFC and the Fight Night survive in a genre that is known for being over the top? If Capcom and SNK team up, could they overcome SNK's tag-battle champion?
Goku vs Naruto, we all want to know.
And that is all just the first round. We do two rounds tonight! The second round is even more shocking than the first!
Did I say that was the last segment? Surprise! We aren't tapping out yet! We have time for one more segment! A free-for-all discussion about the treatment of a nervous teenager at a gaming competition. Was he mistreated or is he just a complainer?
Now the fight is over! We can all go back to our locker rooms, shower, and head home. Win or lose the fight will continue. Let's get ready to rumble, fight the power, don't throw in the towel, act like you've been there before, and all of those other lame competition cliches.
Participation awards for everyone!
FINISH HIM!

RPGrinders EP 735 - Raiding Your Dungeons with Mario
Friday Apr 14, 2023
Friday Apr 14, 2023
In this filled episode of RPGrinders, the crew has a nice chunk of news to get through, with highlights being a Birdie Wing game, and a Sony making a Not Hand-held to remote play PS5 games with. Afterward, Eric reviews Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean, while they and Frank joint review both Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and the Super Mario Bros. Movie. There are also quite a few stinkos to go around, but at least for Frank's Sweetos, some Raytheon bastards met a deserving fate. For Free for All, the topic of the crew's worst gaming experience they've had is chosen. Be sure to listen to that or other shows live on Twitch/Youtube on Fridays at 7-9 PM EST!
